Superintendent's Monthly Message


April 2015

As most of you know, I will be retiring at the end of this school year. The Board of Trustees of the district has initiated its search for a new superintendent. To counsel them through this important process, they have retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in assisting Boards with the consideration of candidates for this position.

 A key step in the search process is to identify the characteristics the district will be seeking in the new superintendent. Your input and assistance with this important task will be greatly appreciated. You are invited to participate and have a voice in this process by:

Attending the Community Forum

                                     Completing an online survey located at beginning Monday, March 30 and ending April 9, 2015

The Community Forum, which will be facilitated by a member of our consultant firm, will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the District Office Large Conference Room, 5175 Union Avenue, San Jose, CA.

 The purpose of the online survey is to find out which characteristics you think are “most important” for the new superintendent to have. To access the survey:
